Unforgivable

I'm too sad and pissed off to write much of anything. Our two dogs that like to chase cats (but wouldn't hurt them, we thought) caught a young kitten this morning and killed it.
I'm so disgusted with them I can barely look at the two dogs.

  1. Thank you for letting us peep into your home :) I love the basket! Very neat!

Sorry to hear of your kitten loss... and your dog disgust.... ((hugs))

  2. Love the photos. Perhaps the dogs thought it was a squirrel. Poor kitty.

  3. Nooooooo!!! I can totally feel your pain. I often wondered what would happen if Chaplin caught that bird or squirrel he was chasing. I guess now I know...
    Hugs to you! xo B

  4. I figure they hadn't seen the kitten before and maybe thought it was a strange animal they had to catch.

Honestly though, you'd think I lost my best friend or something. I stood out on the grass and literally wept and wailed, long and loud, my anger and sorrow. (The beauty of neighbours at a decent distance is that one can do this uninhibitedly.) Surprised even me. Then felt terrible for the rest of the day; heartbroken.

I still can't bring myself to pat either of the two dogs.
