Fairweather Walker, admittedly

The dogs set out bravely with me.
I head south, toward the sunshine.
Getting past the trees. There's an icy wind.
Wiser to turn around and stay close to shelter.

      No, it's snow laying on the stubblefield, polished by the wind and sun.
