Lean-to for a Laugh

The lean-to
This "lean-to" was the kitchen one summer spent camping up Chute Lake Road south of Kelowna, BC.

We could move the picnic table inside and sit quite comfortably out of the weather and the "flaps" could be closed if the day was wet, cold and/or windy.

Those two little children are now grown and have children of their own and, thanks to Facebook, I get to see photos and hear what they're up to now.

  1. Thanks Kate! It looks like a grand design! I love the sheets of wood on the sides, simple, removable, functional... it seems like the whole thing could be dismantled for the winter without too much trouble.

I bet you had a great summer!

  2. That's ingenious; because we were carless when I was that age, we never did any camping as a family. I have to admit that I'm not verklempt about it.
