Fortunate Are We

The winds of change ... no kidding ...
From hot to cold goes the weather
In a day
In an hour sometimes

But we
We have warm houses
Food in the fridge
No reason to leave it all and run
For our lives

From here
we run toward
the danger
the killing

How fortunate are we
To have that choice

  1. Those disturbingly haunting photos make me glad I have a choice. I just don't know what it would be

  2. Hey hey
You are writing poetry! I like the phrase, "how fortunate are we,", an exclamation as well as a question.

  3. I like your poem. "How fortunate are we" has a nice ring to it, and so true it is too.
