It never ceases to amaze me, the breadth of reading material available at your library. Such variety, and quality. Most of the books I have access to for borrowing are through the Ontario Library Service, and it is a mixed bag, offering mostly cheesy romance and vampire novels. I do find the odd book worth reading, but the waiting lists are very long for those, and the borrowing time very short.
Most of the books I bring home aren't in the local library. I order them through an online system that connects the Wadena library with all the other libraries in the province, and so there are very few titles that aren't available via interlibrary loan. It's pretty good.
Saskatchewan was the first province to create the province-wide borrowing system. I don't know if any other provinces have followed, but it is a great system!
