These are two quotes from a piece written by Jane Fonda about how she came to understand feminism rather than assuming it was a distraction from the "real" problems of the world. Good article, Jane.

I still, in a sort of uncomfortable, and generally hated, stance, continue to think of myself as a humanist.
ReplyDeleteIf you were to look up the definition of humanism, would you not find that it has nothing to do with gender equality? At least, that's the case in my dictionary.
